The Sino-US Global Logistics Institute (SUGLI) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University is seeking outstanding candidates for tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Postdoctoral Fellow positions. We are focused on advancing research in several cutting-edge areas, including:

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will collaborate with current faculty on high-level theoretical research and address major applied problems in engineering system management, logistics, and supply chain management. Responsibilities include:

Qualifications

Required:

  • A Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, or a related field by the time of hire
  • .A strong record of accomplishments, demonstrating the potential to become an outstanding scholar and educator.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of high-quality publications in top peer-reviewed journals, such as those covering industrial engineering and system engineering.

Preferred:

  • Previous teaching and/or post-doctoral experience at a world-class university.
  • Understanding of the Chinese language and culture.
  • Experience with international research collaborations, particularly in industrial engineering.
